PRACTICE & TRAINING

TKZ runs Training and Open Practice events throughout the year. Whether your driver is a novice or a highly experienced racer and wants to test on our karts, we have a product that suits your needs.

Perfect your technique and get to know the race kart. Our experienced instructors will be available to help you make the most of your time on track.

You’ll start with a drivers briefing and track walk, followed by a seat fit just before the track action begins.

No need to worry about the cost of owning or the hassle of setting up a race kart. You’ll use one of our karts and our team of mechanics and engineers will be on hand to take care of all maintenance, so you can focus on honing your skills.

what to expect

Upon arrival you will meet our team for sign on which is usually located inside the club house of each circuit, but this will be signposted by TKZ signs. After sign on, drivers will receive a briefing and a track walk. If you are attending an AM Practice day allow extra time to get your driver dressed if using our race wear.

All the information in reference to the timings that your driver’s class is on track will be available on the schedule included in the Final Instructions sent a few days before the event.

Provisional Timings:
AM Practice 07:30-12:00
PM Practice 12:00 – 17:30

Please note that occasionally these timings may change and you will be notified if this is the case. Note that finishing times for each class vary. To find out exact details before booking, contact Anita on 07746767519.

TKZ offers tuition as part of our Training Sessions on the Saturday mornings of our event weekends, and the training provided is tailored to each driver’s needs. It would normally cover such things as correct hand position, correct use of throttle and brake pedals, braking techniques, racing lines, track etiquette and flag signals. This is done with the drivers in groups, so not strictly on a one-to-one basis. The aim of the tuition is to get drivers to a level of competency whereby they can safely participate in the Open Practice sessions that take place on Saturday afternoons and cater for faster drivers, some of whom will be racing the following day at the Race Meeting.

TKZ Open Practice sessions commence with driver/parent Signing on at 12:00, followed by a mandatory driver briefing.
